Maintaining your youthful appearance is dependent on many things. Although diet, exercise, environmental exposures and genetics all play a role in our aging process probably the next most important one is when you begin.

At Kessler Plastic Surgery we approach aging in a comprehensive, wholistic way. During your consultation with Dr. Kessler, he will address your skin, facial volume and hormone status in addition to the concerns which brought you to the office initially.

Dr Kessler will make recommendations on skin care and various treatments such as chemical peels or microneedling if necessary. Botox and fillers play an important role in looking young but these are temporary fixes. Generally, Botox lasts about three months on average while fillers vary between 6 and 18 months depending on the filler product used and where it is placed. Knowing how the products are used and when to return for subsequent treatments will be explained at your initial consultation.

Exilis Ultra, Vanquish ME, Ultherapy and fractional CO2 laser are great devices for correcting aging skin and can be performed at routine intervals to prevent relaxation of the skin and possibly delay the need for surgical intervention. Dr. Kessler will explain these devices if he feels you can benefit from them.

Lastly for our clients who are experiencing hormonal changes with age, hormone optimization can be provided. Not only can this address many common symptoms which we simply dismiss as “getting older” but bioidentical hormones can also decrease your incidence of osteoporosis, heart disease and Alzheimer’s disease. Having an annual plan which lays out your treatment recommendations provides a clear and easy path to follow throughout the year.
