What Is Morpheus8 Microneedling?

Morpheus8 is a microneedling device that creates micro punctures in the skin to trigger creation of new collagen protein. Unlike traditional microneedling, Morpheus8 uses RF, or radiofrequency, energy along with the needles to stimulate collagen production in the layers of the dermis.

By targeting the deeper layer of the skin, tissues of the face and body are remodeled to reveal a more vibrant and youthful appearance.

How Does Morpheus8 Microneedling Work?

Morpheus8 microneedling works by combining microneedling and RF energy. As the microneedles prick the skin, RF energy travels from the device into the dermis.

Collagen and elastin are produced in the dermis, but as we age, the production of these proteins decreases. A Morpheus8 microneedling treatment boosts collagen and elastin production to help restore the firmness and elasticity of the skin.

This treatment also contours and remodels the area for treatment by breaking down fat cells. The combination of heat and vibrations from RF energy cause fat cells to melt and eventually be expelled by the body.

The best candidates for Morpheus8 microneedling are people with loose skin, scars, or wrinkles. The procedure is recommended for people who want a minimally invasive option for correcting early signs of aging.

People with skin conditions like cold sores, skin infections, and psoriasis may not be considered for this treatment. These conditions must be fully treated before undergoing a Morpheus8 microneedling session.

02 Your Consultation

A Morpheus8 consultation will involve an in-depth conversation about your appearance goals. The selected areas for treatment will be assessed to plan out a healthy and safe procedure.

Be ready to provide your complete medical history, including current prescriptions and allergies, to reduce the chance of complications during treatment.

03 Your Morpheus8 Microneedling Session

The session will begin with cleansing the face to avoid infections. After cleansing, topical anesthesia will be applied to your skin for a comfortable microneedling treatment. In some cases, local anesthesia may be administered through injection.

Once the anesthesia takes effect, the Morpheus8 microneedling device will be used on the selected areas. This process may take 10 to 20 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.

For best results, an optimal number of sessions will be recommended based on your personal objectives.

04 Morpheus8 Microneedling Aftercare

Results are often visible after three weeks, but initial improvements should be seen within just a few days. Benefits will continue to increase for up to three months after the treatment.

Moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. Use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to keep the skin properly protected from sun damage.
