What Is Microneedling And How Does it Work?

Microneedling works by creating multiple small injuries to the skin which extend into the dermis. The body responds to the injury by producing collagen and elastin. Fine lines wrinkles and acne scars are the primary indications for this treatment.

We maximize your comfort during the procedure with medical-grade topical anaesthetic, but there can be some pinkness and swelling on the following days (with some possible light flaking or peeling on day three). These normal responses will resolve in about five to seven days, during which we strongly recommend you wear SPF 30 or higher sunscreen under your makeup.

We are very excited to do this in combination with Root of Skin Advanced Facial Serum. This is a product which consists of growth factors and nutrients the skin cells need to rejuvenate themselves. Microneedling delivers this product to the layer of the dermis where the reparative cells exist maximizing its impact on the skin.
